How Did the Business Get Started?
The business started with a few homies with an idea that we could make and sell clothes. Most of us were into fashion, so it seemed like the legit thing to do. I had the idea that I would put some work in and create something where family and friends could have something to relate to, and come up with.

Are you willing to subject yourself to a drug test?
Why you even askin that shit. You know my answer.

How is your shoe collection?
My shoe collection isn’t as crazy as some of the real shoe collectors. I have some ill kicks but I wear all my shit. I think it’s dumb when you buy shoes and get nervous about wearing them. Shit I just buy a new pair if they get dirty.

Any prized possession?
Yeah I have 2 pairs of Jordan 1’s the black and red ones and the black and blue ones. I got them from my boy for my birthday.

If you had 200 bucks in your wallet right now, what would you do with it?
I’d flip it real quick.

What do you really think of me?
I think you’re a chill dude. You respect us and what we do, so I’m thankful for that.

What type of people would you fear rocking your brand?
Foreign Family was made for everyone. Everyone can relate to our designs and products. It’s universal. I don’t care if some G is wearin FF or my fucking girls gay homie is reppin, as long as you’re reppin.

How did the name, Foreign Family, come about?
Well we’re all foreigners; everyone in this world is a foreigner so we wanted to use FOREIGN FAMILY cause we wanted to create something that everyone, who is a foreigner, can relate to like a huge family.

Any plans for a women’s line?
Hahahah why is that the question for FF this year. Hahha yes we have a women’s line in the works. One of the members of the fam designs denim for lucky brand. And she is actually designing a full line that will only be offered to exclusive accounts. We will mainly be pushing the line in Europe and Asia.

Any secrets or heads-up you can give us anticipating FF fans?
We will have a full line coming out very soon. Jackets, shorts, denim, whatevers we got it coming out.

What brands out there you think got this shit down?
Who ever is making loot has got it down in there own way.

Any other interests besides being Mr. FF?
Hahah well I'm into cars and classic cars, and rebuilding them into lil race monsters. Hahaha I like to travel when I have time. I love chillin out with my dogs and just chill out at home and stay away from the everlasting LA drama. I’m really into drawing cartoons and making little music videos with my cartoon characters. I’ve been making beats for 4 years strong. I play the guitar my piano, and drums once in awhile. Um.. Let me see I'm really into jazz and foreign music. I guess there are bunch of things I like to do besides FF. I don’t know maybe if you call me up you’ll get a better idea. … What a great friend you are. Thanks James you’re the best.

What you think of the term streetwear?
Street wear is joker brand, Ecko brands like that. Do you see people in the streets rocking an allover print and bright ass shoes. Hahahah yeah if you’re at a sample sale. Streetwear is what people wear on the streets. Hahahah it would be funny to see a “streetwear” kid rollin up to our spot. Hahahahahah half way down the block he would be stressing like, SHIT man why the fuck is I so bright, I look like a starburst.

What do you see in the future of this industry in the next 3 years?
I see brands making it and see brands cryin. I’m not really trippin on any other brands, that shit doesn’t concern me. I’m just worried about how we do and how we can create a bigger family.

What sets FF apart from the other cats of the industry?
Well we’re just on our own tip. I want to set FF far apart from the other brands as possible cause we are not them. We just do what we do. We hand draw all of our designs, we use all original artwork and fonts. Also we freelance designs and fonts to other brands. We also do lots of designs for record labels worldwide from Japan to the US.
